Borgvik

Borgvik is one of the best preserved ironwork places from older days in Värmland. Since medieval times, there has been water-powered mills along the river and ancient remains such as stone axes and arrowheads of flint have been found. The sights of Borgvik are many. Among other things, you can visit the old industrial museum, cabin ruins, feeble smithy and a bakery. There is also a tiny shop with home handycraft things and a beautiful church from 1718 in which many people choose to marry.

The old buildings blend in well with the beautiful countryside of Värmland and here Värmland Museum created a center for building conservation.
